Dr. Ari Kramer (he/him pronouns)
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
I’m a queer transgender man who is committed to social justice in my work and my daily life. Prior to attending graduate school, I worked as a community organizer and facilitator for dialogues around privilege and oppression. I obtained my doctorate in clinical psychology from Pacific University’s School of Graduate Psychology in Oregon. I completed my internship at the University of Illinois at Chicago Counseling Center, with a specialization in outreach to on-campus groups and working with graduate students. For my postdoctoral fellowship, I helped to create a private practice branch within a public law school, John Marshall Law School, in Chicago. I maintain active licensure in both Illinois and Oregon. Over the years, I have worked in private practice, group practice, LGBTQIA clinics, holistic wellness centers, and universities.
My practice is focused on providing therapy to adult individual clients. For more about my clinical approach to therapy, click here.
I believe that in order to transform mental health, we must transform the field. I provide training, workshops, program evaluations, and consultation for other wellness professionals and systems including group practices, universities, healthcare clinics, and companies interested in inclusion work and employee mental health. I present often at local and national conferences on topics near and dear to my heart including queer and trans identities, neurodivergent affirming therapy, sociopolitical anxiety, sizeism and body image, and using a feminist multicultural approach to treatment.
